Race Forever puts the reader in the driver seat as they vie to win, or at least finish, one of the most grueling races in the world, the African Road Rallies. There are two races, a "speed race" in the first section and a "rough road race" in the second, which begins on page 67 in the original and page 70 in the reissue. In addition to choices in the best route and fastest car, the reader faces obstacles in the form of bandits, geography, a charging black rhinoceros, and even sabotage. The differences between the spoils of victory and eating dust are but a few choices apart.
