Nabors was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1985. She left public school in the fifth grade to be homeschooled, and began drawing comics seriously at age fifteen. Soon after her nineteenth birthday, Nabors self-published 18 Revolutions, the first American graphic novel ever made by a teenage girl for teenage girls. This was soon followed by Crow Princess. She also has self-published the two mini-comics A Brief History of Grifonton and Subculture of One: the Body Issues.
