This term paper will discuss different forms of racial discrimination in the fashion industry, exemplified on recent controversies. For this, the focus will be on big fashion brands and magazines. The goal of this term paper is to find out how racial discrimination is expressed in the fashion industry as well as finding ways to fight it. Forms of racial discrimination, dominance of a white and eurocentric beauty idol, and protests against main forms of racial discrimination in the fashion industry will be in the center of attention.
