Luke Towney is a Christian social worker who holds both a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Science. He has a diverse professional background, which includes working in the fields of mental health, counselling services, substance abuse, homelessness and housing, child protection, and the legal system.Luke's journey into social work wasn't the result of a strategic career plan, but rather a natural progression shaped by his personal experiences and a desire to help others like him who struggle with their mental health. He has spent two decades navigating the complex world of mental illness, and because of this, he has developed a deep understanding and interest in mental health and overall wellbeing.Luke openly acknowledges that his ability to thrive amidst his challenges is only due to God's guidance, and he serves as a powerful testament to the transformative power of faith. His desire is for others to know that mental health recovery is not only possible, but that our greatest challenges can become our most significant sources of strength and purpose.Luke lives in Dubbo NSW, Australia, with his family and their much-loved retired racing greyhound, Ruby.
