High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Radio and Television Arts, or RTA, is an undergraduate broadcasting program administered by the School of Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The program only accepts 163 students a year out of 2,000+ applicants. It is the only 4-year broadcasting degree program in Canada and is reputed as the best program for an education in broadcasting in Canada. Graduates of this program receive a Bachelor of Arts. Students gain knowledge of the many aspects of the production of media, including technical, business and creative. After the first year of study, students can choose which stream of production they wish to take. Students can choose between audio production, digital media, electronic field production (EFP) and multi-camera/studio production. Everything then culminates in a final project called Practicum during the students' fourth year of study. Practicum has students establish production groups,in which they create a highly advanced project, seeing it through all stages of development, ranging from the initial pitch to post-production.
