It was formed in September 2006, when Fargo resident James Ingstad bought six radio stations from Clear Channel Communications. That group sale was approved by the FCC on January 19, 2007. Radio Fargo-Moorhead studios and offices are located at 1020 S. 25th Street in Fargo, ND.
