Non-ionizing radiation is everywhere around us. the importance of using non-ionizing radiation for mobile communication is evident in our everyday activity. However, coupled with this benefits could be side effects as radiation is not what we can see thus reliance on good experimental techniques using sensitive equipment's is a key factor in ascertaining safety in our environment and to individuals. This thesis gives an insight on measurements of electromagnetic radiation from mobile base stations from some localities in Nigeria taken into consideration the population densities and geography of the sampled areas. The use of a highly sensitive Spectrum analyzer (Spectran HF 2025E) and its hyperlog antenna (HL-7025) makes the experimental measurement unique when compared to measurements made with frequency meters.
