Indeed, it has now been well established that radiologic studies playa key role in the diagnosis and management of patients with HIV infection. In the Western world the positive effects of new potent drugs are already discernible, resulting in decreased mortality from the illness. But as AIDS patients survive longer, the medical profession is confronted with changing radiologic findings related to longstanding AIDS. This superb book provides a very comprehensive overview of our current knowledge about radiologic imaging features in AIDS. I would like to congratulate most sincerely the Editors for their tremendous field work, their enthusiasm, and their high level of expertise, which have resulted in the publication of this outstanding volume.
