Raghupati Venkataratnam Naidu was born on September 1862 at Machilipatnam in Krishna District. His parents were Appaiah Naidu and Seshamamba. But he was brought up at north India. Raghupati Venkataratnam Naidu was a great scholar and silver tongued orator. During his stay at Machilipatnam in 1887 as a lecturer, he played a significant role in the establishment of Prarthana Samaj there. The social service rendered by him was recognized by the government, universities, co-reformers of Brahma Samaj, citizens and honoured Raghupati Venkataratnam Naidu. He was received many awards. He was recognized the great social reformer of India in general and Andhra in particular.

Dr. Settivari Reddeppa has obtained M.A. (History),B.Ed.,M.Phil. (History), Ph.D. (History) from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. He has six years teaching experience. He has presented good number of articles at various seminars/conferences and published articles in reputed journals.
