Autorenporträt
Following his work on the railroad, Langone served almost four years in the Navy during the Korean War. Afterwards, Langone went on to obtain degrees from Syracuse University in Education. With these, the author taught secondary social studies for thirty years. Shortly after retiring, he was called onto active duty from the Naval Reserves during the first Gulf War. In 1991, he finally retired as a Senior Petty Officer and continues to live and write in upstate New York.
