Author Bruce D. Heald, Ph.D., has created a rare collection of photographic memories of yesteryear in a tribute to the majesty that the White Mountains National Forest represents as a treasured jewel of New Hampshire. Dr. Heald is the 1993 recipient of the Gold Medal of Honor for literary achievement from the American Biographical Institute. He has written 17 books and numerous articles about the history and heritage of the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
