Autorenporträt
Born in India, the author is a doctor who obtained his basic medical degree in Hyderabad, India, then moved to the UK in July 1973. He gained his post-graduate medical qualifications in London and in the Republic of Ireland. He worked in the NHS since he came to the UK. In addition to his medical qualifications, he has wide general interests. His overall general knowledge, especially in the field of science, is particularly commendable. He has an analytical, logical, unbiased and honest approach to various issues and thus sometimes differs widely form the well-established beliefs. This, he has expressed in his other book mentioned below. Since his childhood, he has been hearing 'stories' related to India's independence from the British Raj and the creation of Pakistan. These stories have plus and minus points, depending on reader's own views. In his view, the author believes that history also depends on who writes it. The current novel, Raisham, is a fictional story but depicts many facts. The author believes that his origin of the creative writing is from the facts and a result of his observations, life experiences and various books he has read. Having worked in various fields of medicine, before taking up Anesthetics and ICU (ICU used to be part of Anesthetics but is now a separate specialty) as his specialty, it is interesting for him to write medical science fiction novels. The current novel has two sequels. In addition, he has written three more short medical sci-fi, and another fact-based (non-fiction) book, Strange but True: Life Experience of a Muslim Doctor. They are awaiting publication.
