Hawk, a half Arapaho ex-Marine, is in Casper for a brief stopover before returning to his home in Lander. He wasn't expecting to cause bodily harm to an angel but, when he knocks Savanna Mills unconscious while racing to apprehend a purse snatcher, he finds himself enchanted by her silver-blond hair and ensnared in the depths of her haunting gray eyes.
