His journey began with photography work published in Thrasher Magazine during his junior year of high school, eventually leading to regular contributions and international distribution through stock photo agencies. In 1995, Monroe became the photo editor of The Source Magazine, further solidifying his place within the hip-hop community. As the millennium approached, Monroe shifted his focus to producing events and marketing campaigns, collaborating with brands like Activision, Tony Hawk, and Ecko UNLTD. In 2019, he authored the iconic book trilogy, "Rare & Unseen Moments of 90's Hip Hop," showcasing intimate portraits and stories of hip-hop's most influential artists. Today, Monroe continues to captivate audiences with his unique perspective on hip hop culture through speaking engagements and exhibitions worldwide.
