Although parotid gland cancer is relatively rare, it still constitutes as a serious health problem among population because of its poor prognosis, distant metastases and possibility of facial nerve weakness due to tumor invasion or iatrogenic events. Twenty percent of all patients will develop distant metastases despite its large variety of histologic types. Patients with high-grade tumors have a higher chance of developing distant metastases than those with lower-grade tumors. But for low grade and benign tumors there are other concepts such as error in histologic diagnosis and inadequate management. This paper is composed of five parts. In each part at first we present rare parotid gland entity then we investigate the problem in form of case report and study their imaging, laboratory tests, differential diagnosis and treatment with follow up status. At the end we discuss about their management with review of literatures. Dr. Zahra Sarafraz
