Raquel Ryan was born and raised in a small town in Michigan. She is an elementary teacher who shares her love of reading and writing with her students each day. Raquel has always been intrigued by wolves and has written many short stories about them. Her inspiration came from the first time she watched the movie Balto, and ever since then, she has eagerly researched and shared her knowledge of wolves. Raskal Finds a Friend is Raquel's first published children's book. She currently still lives in Michigan with her dog Jake
