The dynamic behavior of trayed batch distillation column has been studied theoretically and experimentally. The experimental work was performed through using a batch distillation column consisting of eight bubble-cup trays. A zeotropic (nonazeotropic) system of Benzene, Toluene, and Ethylbenzene (B-T-EB) had been used. The theoretical study was performed through modeling that including of coupling mass and energy transfer between vapor and liquid phases so-called ¿Nonequilibrium (or Rate)-Based modeling¿. This study will be useful for researchers whose work on transport phenomena modeling.
