Sharon J. Beard is author of Raven Goes to Arkansas. After twenty-five years of working as a speech therapist and special education teacher, she decided it was time to pursue other dreams. Sharon is now an author, photographer, and song writer. She continues to teach children through the characters in her books. Her unique writing style holds the interest of her readers by bringing them into her character's world. There, they enjoy the antics and learning experiences of characters like Raven.
