RAW. The Trill O'G is an "un-camouflage-ing". It is an artistic display of realness amidst a world lost in a hot mess of mirages and facades. Author Kaylee "Lady K Day" Hannah presents poetry penned in her youth and early adulthood and documents the resolve found in her thirties as a widowed, single mother of four. With an unextinguishable stubbornness to succeed, she proves how one can "Chaka Khan" her way "Through the Fire". Diving heart first into a sea of emotions involving insecurities, addiction, abuse, betrayal, heartbreak, forgiveness, love, family, identity, confidence and victory, this collection examines the teeter totter between self-sabotage and transformation, despair and hope, passion and faith. Fierce and quirky, RAW.'s uninhibited honesty and fearless curiosity poses the following questions: "Who are we when no one is paying attention?", "What makes us powerful?", "How are our gifts enhancing humankind?", "Are we brave enough to embrace the qualities the world would rather us be ashamed of?", "What do we truly value?", "Do our actions align with the words we share?", "After all is said and done, do we have enough left in us to care?". Turn these pages to create your own answers; that's a triple O'G, double dawg dare.
