Autorenporträt

Claire Maingon is a lecturer in contemporary art history at the University of Rouen. A specialist in 19th and 20th century art, she focuses her current work on sculpture and architecture, having published numerous books and articles on artists at war and eroticism in art. She directs, alongside Thierry Dufrêne, the Sculptures Magazine (created in 2013). She is is author of L'oeil en rut. Art and eroticism in France in the 19th century (2021) published by Éditions Norma, and Edward Munch, states of mind (2022) published Éditions Les Falaises.
