A member of the governing People''s Action Party (PAP), he is currently the country''s Minister for Transport. Lim has been a Member of Parliament for the East Coast Group Representation Constituency''s Fengshan division since 2001. In addition to his current portfolio of Minister for Transport, he is also the Second Minister for Foreign Affairs. He has previously served as Second Minister for Finance and a Minister in the Prime Minister''s Office. Lim was a Rhodes Scholar and Colombo Plan scholar. He received his education at the University of Adelaide, the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge. Prior to that he was a student and athlete at Raffles Institution. His brother, Benny Lim Siang Hoe, was with the ISD, and is now Permanent Secretary with the Ministry of Home Affairs.
