Rob Ray played parts of 14 NHL seasons, 13 with the Buffalo Sabres. Known as an enforcer throughout his career, the NHL awarded Ray the King Clancy Memorial Trophy for his leadership and humanitarian contributions in the Buffalo and Western New York area in 1999. After his retirement in 2004, Ray returned to Buffalo where he currently works as a contributor to Sabres television broadcasts.Budd Bailey is a graduate of Syracuse University who has worked for The Buffalo News for many years, including several seasons as the Sabres beat writer.
