The book examines a philosophical evaluation of Samir Amin's political ideologies within the primism of Neoliberalism and Political Instability in the Global South. Using data generated from secondary sources and descriptive method of analysis, Amin in his writings exposes the weaknesses in contemporary approaches to development and presenting a coherent alternative way of understanding the development of capitalism and its effects on the Third World are Unequal Development. It was discovered that the sophistication and the subtlety with which global forces are manipulated in dealing with these countries are what their political elites hardly understand. For that they put great store on honoring their promises of conforming to policy prescriptions offered by transnational capital. It has been realized that the same ruling elites would permit of no dissenting voices from among the people. Accountability dilemma results: whether more to the owners of capital at the international level or more to the people on whose behalf the state operates.
