Barbara Shepherd is an award-winning writer, poet, and artist. Published books include: Children's picture book - The Potbelly Pig Promise, YA novel - Reach for the Clouds, historical novel set in 1830s Texas - River Bend, cookbook - Vittles and Vignettes, and poetry chapbook - Patchwork Skin. Her short stage play - Night of Terror has been performed in the round twice. Her work also appears in anthologies, literary journals, magazines, and cookbooks. A suspense, a western, and a YA mystery are novels in process. Making quilts and creating new recipes keeps this mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother busy. Food and quilts often show up in her stories.
