The objectives of this study were to see whether or not Reader's Theatre could give significant improvements in students' reading and speaking achievements and whether or not Reader's Theatre could give a significant improvement on each aspect of reading and speaking achievements. Here, the quasi-experimental method was used to analyze the results of study in SMA N6 Palembang. In this study, the samples were taken from SMA N6 consisting of 186 students. Out of this number,there were 42 students as the sample of this study. The findings showed that there were significant improvements in students' reading and speaking achievements where the Sig. value (2-tailed) of students' reading and speaking achievements were less than 0.05. The results of t-test analysis showed that mean difference in reading achievement was15.382 and the gain obtained in Speaking Performance was 0.40952.Thus,it could be concluded that Reader's Theatre could improve the students' reading and speaking achievements and the aspects of reading and speaking achievements.
