Dr. Mather earned his B.A. in Government fromthe University of the Redlands, an M.A. in African Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, an M.A. in Reading from California State Univeristy, Los Angeles, and Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Southern California. He has taught reading at the secondary, adult-education, and community-college levels for over 20 years. For the past eight years, he has taught reading and American government at Glendale Community College. He has published articles in the Journal of Reading.
