Jesús Álvarez si è laureato in innovazione educativa presso l'Universidad de la Ciénega del Estado de Michoacán de Ocampo. Attualmente lavora come insegnante di scuola primaria. È ginnasta e allenatore olimpico. Pratica la ginnastica dall'età di dieci anni e negli ultimi due anni ha lavorato presso la Casa della Cultura del suo Stato.
