The works gathered in this text, whose interest is to contribute to the field of pedagogy and particularly, to the didactics of language and literature, give an account of two issues and at the same time problems that contribute to reflect on the north towards which education looks around the Colombian educational reality, specifically in the city of Medellín: reading comprehension and critical thinking, concepts that although in essence different, are part of the same enterprise: that of reading in the school.
