Preparing for everything is essential in a world where climate change and climate engineering are becoming ever-present realities. With the artificial control of weather and the use of technologies to manipulate the climate, such as geoengineering and other advanced techniques, the natural balance of the environment is being altered, creating new and unpredictable conditions. These interventions, often designed to mitigate global warming or manage extreme weather events, can nevertheless have unforeseen side effects. For example, climate manipulation could cause storms, floods, droughts, or anomalous meteorological phenomena in areas where they were once rare or absent. Having a well-structured home emergency plan becomes a necessity because adverse events are no longer entirely natural and, therefore, may strike with less warning. Being prepared means not only facing events we are familiar with, such as blackouts or fires, but also adapting to new emergencies that may be triggered by artificial climate interventions. Faced with a future where climate unpredictability may increase, prevention becomes the first and most important form of protection. We cannot control everything, but we can control our level of preparedness. Happy reading, Simone Azzurri
