Is your child shy away or find it challenging to assert or express themselves? Are you one of the parents who find it hard to please your child even with your best efforts? Are your children's likes vary from yours, and do you have no clue about their likes? Have you made an effort to sit with them to know their choices? Have you jotted down their interests somewhere? If the answer is no to any of them, then it is time for you to make a note of their needs. It is observed by the therapist working with children that sometimes parents are unaware of their children's needs or likes. And sometimes, there is a discrepancy between observations of parents (both mother and father). So we thought to make a small booklet which allows children to open up and define themselves. This booklet is helpful for children between 6- 10 years old who have started exploring the environment and have started sentence-building learning. This book catches the essence of children's wishes, likes, dislikes, and favourite activities and helps them express themselves. Some of the questions are open-ended to make a child open up about their feelings and thoughts. Under the guidance of Occupational therapists, we tried to capture developmental aspects of children aged 6-10 years old that will help you learn about your child. This diary is activity-based and gives a chance for kids to open up and express themselves in the form of:- 1. Sentence completion 2. Recognise pictures & missing words 3. Developing vocabulary 4. Spot the difference through visual perception 5. Find hidden images 6. Matching mandala colouring designs 7. Mazes Introduce this workbook to children as an activity book, and let them choose the time and the page they would like to do. For example, let them do if they want to do colouring pages first. Please do not force them; they must express themselves freely.
