Since LDR or other power consuming circuits are not used so we get power draw from the circuit is less. The power extracted from RTC is 15-22% greater than that of conventional fixed systems. Although it is lesser than a double axis solar tracker. But we have minimized the power consumed by a large DC motor or servo motor that is required for moving the solar panel in accordance with azimuthal angle, the used prototype can be easily created for Solar Panels having a rating up to a range of 15 W, but for solar panel, with the larger rating, the construction design and motor use will change. Applications of this prototype can be used for solar charging of any equipment and street lighting.
