Joost J. Coté is a senior lecturer in history at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. He is the author of On feminism and nationalism: Kartini's letters to Stella Zeehandelaar and co-editor of Recalling the Indies: Colonial memories and postcolonial identities.
