Thls study comprises four chapters. The first chapter deals with the general pathogenesis of asphyxia conditions caused by diseases of the nervous system, i.e. poliomyelitis, GuiIlain-Barre's syndrome, myasthenia, tetanus, intoxications, etc. In the second chapter, the author considers the general semiotie of asphyxia conditions (hypercapnia, hypoxemia) and the partieular evolution of the diseases responsible for these states, with special regard to polio myelitis. The author describes the spinal and bulbar forms of the latter. In the thlrd part, reanimation methods and their indications are dealt with. The indieations of the methods derive directly from the semiotie findings. The last chapter comprises the essential results of neuro-respiratory reanimation methods. La troisieme partie a trait aux methodes de reanimation et aleurs indi cations, ces derrueres etant basees directement sur les donnees de la semi ologie. Le dernier chapitre comporte les resultats essentiels des methodes de reanimation neuro-respiratoire. Diskussion Professor Dr. Ilted.
