Dr. U. Sumathy is an Associate Professor of English, Government Arts College, Coimbatore, India. Postcolonial literature, Ecocriticism and Ecotheology are her areas of interest. She regularly contributes articles to scholarly journals and has authored the book, Ecocriticism in Practice. She is a conscientious teacher and research supervisor.
