Shankaran Nambiar is a Research Fellow at the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research, Malaysia's premier think-tank. He has, to his credit, many published articles and book chapters pertaining to economic development in Malaysia. He has been invited to present papers at conferences and capacity-building workshops held in South East Asia and Central Asia on Malaysia's development experience. He has also been a consultant to government boddies in Malaysia as well as international agencies.
