Author Dr. Matthew Faustus, D.D. (he/him/his) is a white heterosexual Christian minister who worked as an academic advisor at the Interfaith Seminary in Texas. He lost his faith due to the rise of President Donald Trump and damage he brought to America. His past work focused on personal spiritual growth and mysticism, but since leaving the Christian community Dr. Faustus has gone into holistic life coaching and achieving one's dreams as a healing tool. Co-author Jamie Ray (they/them/theirs) is a non-binary trans activist with the Antifa movement who self-identifies as a non-queer lesbian. They has worked with people on finding personal growth and healing via alternative spaces, plus work in alternative parenting approaches for raising a sex positive child.
