In 2002, Bob and Carolyn Sawvelle established Passion Church in Tucson, Arizona. Prior to coming to Tucson, they served as missionaries in Haiti, and as youth and missions pastors in Florida. They have made numerous short-term ministry outreaches to Belize, Brazil, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Israel, Mexico, Mozambique, Romania, Ukraine and Venezuela. In 1994, while on a stateside trip from Haiti, they were powerfully touched by the Holy Spirit in meetings at the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship, and then again in 1995 in meetings with Randy Clark in Melbourne, Florida. Since that time, they have desired nothing less than to be filled with God's presence, and allow to His love and power to flow through them to change and heal the lives of others. Bob has a heart for the poor and hurting, and he believes that God is wanting His people to carry His love and power beyond the four walls of our church buildings to those in need. Bob and Carolyn have been trained in healing ministry through Global Awakening Ministries and the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship. Additionally, they have training from Christian International Ministries in prophetic ministry and in the Restoring the Foundations Ministry (RTF). They both are ordained ministers. Bob holds Master's and DMin degrees in Theology.
