In dentistry, there is a consistent need of progress in procedures and materials, as indicated by the adjustment popular from patients' expert recognitions and with headway in innovation. The two parts of glass ionomer cements (GICs) repress wide synthetic variety, which give capability of progress in GICs. Hence, the fundamental point of this book was to examine the different headways in GICs with the presentation of nanotechnology in GIC. Different adjustments in GICs were done. This book is an endeavor to outline various advances in glass ionomer, for example, compomers, condensable/self-solidifying GIC, low thickness/flowable GIC, fiber-strengthened GIC, chlorhexidine-impregnated GIC, proline-containing GIC, nano-bioceramic-changed GIC, and calcium aluminate GIC. Nanotechnology is presented in regular GIC and tar changed GIC to improve the mechanical properties of GIC. It has been inferred that enormous number of changes were completed with GIC, and the presentation of nanotechnology had improved the overall properties of GIC.
