Autorenporträt
Balaguru Sethuraman obtained his M.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and Ph.D. from College of Engineering Guindy under Anna University. He carried out his postdoctoral research work at National University of Singapore (NUS). He works as the Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering at VIT Bhopal. He has guided three Ph.D. scholars. He  guided more than 30 M.Tech. projects. He authored several book chapters. He published 50 papers in reputed journals and 30 papers in international conferences. Prof. Sethuraman also has five patents to his credit. He established the Material Advantage student chapter at VIT Bhopal as a faculty advisor. He was invited to Kocaeli University, Turkey, under the Mevlana Mobility Programme with a grant in 2019 to deliver a course on Theory of vibrations. His research fields are cladding, welding, composites and nuclear materials. He is a fellow as well as CEng. of the Institution of Engineers and member of the American Society ofMechanical Engineers. Pushpdant Jain has more than ten years of experience including industries and academic institutions. Currently, he is working with VIT Bhopal University as an assistant professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Jain holds Ph.D. in Industrial Design from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela. He has published 7 SCI, 3 SCOPUS journal articles, three book chapters and actively participated in more than three international conferences. Dr. Jain also an active reviewer of journals of national and international repute. He is an active member of the European Society of Bio-Mechanics (ESB), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and a life member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (SMIIIE) and Indian Society for Technical Education. In addition to this, he was awarded with Research Scholar of the Year in the year 2018 at NIT Rourkela for his Ph.D. His research interest includes new product development, spinal implant, biomechanics and finite element analysis. Manoj Gupta obtained his B.E. from Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur (presently VNIT Nagpur), M.E from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, with gold medal and Ph.D. from the University of California Irvine, USA. He carried out his postdoctoral research work at the University of Alberta, Canada. He works as a Professor at National University of Singapore (NUS). He has over 550 journal publications and 200 conference publications. He has more than 17500 citations and an h-index of 69 to his credit. He has been a visiting professor of King Saud University, Saudi Arabia; Kobe University, Japan; University of Lille, France; and Indian Institute of Science: Brahm Prakash Chair Professor. He has collaborations with the Universities in Qatar, Oman, Egypt and Sweden. He has been an invited professor of VelTech University India and Wuhan University China. He is an editor of many reputable journals. His field of research is magnesium-based biomaterials including composite materials, lightweight materials with current focus on nanocomposites and syntactic composite and metastable composites.
