RANKL is known as a type II membrane protein and is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. RANKL has been identified to affect the immune system and control bone regeneration and remodeling. Not to be confused with RANK, the osteoclast cell-surface receptor that binds to RANKL. So, the Anti resorptive drugshas new role in the treatment of the disease.
