A cumulative theatrical tradition evolved by Mohan Rakesh, Badal Sirkar, Vijay Tendulkar and Girish Karnad, prepared the background of contemporary Indian English theatre.

Dr. Ram Sharma is an accomplished poet and writer both in English andHindi in the field of literature.He did his doctorate on ` Post-Modernist Trendsin Indian Novels in English: A Study of Anita Desai ,Arun Joshi,Amitav Ghosh and Vikram Seth.He is associate Professor of English at J.V.College, Baraut, Baghpat, U.P, India.
