Fishery sector plays an important role in exports of India. The Government of Andhra Pradesh is also identified the Fisheries sector as a growth engine for socio and economic development. It is found that the Indian fish export basket is changing though the increase in quantity of shrimp exports. Production and promotion of exports of fish depends on several factors. The researcher attempted to find the reality of deterioration or expansion of trade practice while conduct a study at grassroots level of production place. The study indicates diversification of the exportable items. It is found that the Indian marine export basket is changing though the quantity of shrimp exports have continued to increase. It suggests creating more processing units in Maritime states of India.
