This book "Recommended Practices of Peanut: Sustainable Agriculture Production" has written for describing the role of peanut in agriculture production and significant contribution in Indian Economy. Peanut, also known as Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea), is a crop of global importance. It is classified as legume and an oil crop because of its high oil content. The availability of edible oil in the country is 12 gram per head per day as against a minimum requirement of 18 gram per head per day as recommended by Food and Agriculture Organization.
