Every human has the divine right to look human". Keeping this philosophy in mind a prosthodontist has to work to return the affected individual back to the society. The patient who has undergone Mandibular resection is left with multiple physiologic & cosmetic deficiencies, including the inability to masticate in an acceptable or efficient manner. Rehabilitation is an essential phase and should be considered from the time of diagnosis. Speech, swallowing, control of saliva and mastication can be adversely affected. These cosmetic and functional impairments should be corrected or minimized, thereby allowing the patient to resume a normal working and social life.
