Reconstructive surgery of the frontal sinus is a complex process performed to restore the anatomical structure and function of the frontal sinus. The most frequent cases demanding reconstruction are: trauma and fracture of the frontal bone, tumors, mucocele, complications of the inflammatory processes and postoperative complications. Result of the surgery depends on the accuracy of the presurgical investigation, including: studying the patients' specific anatomy on computed tomography (CT) scan images, evaluating and choosing the best surgical approach and technique, and skills and training of the surgeon. The unique anatomy must be studied to work out the plan of the surgery. CT scan is a method of choice for sinus investigation. It allows precise visualization of bony structures and possible pathology. Based on the CT findings, complains and local status the most appropriate approach and surgical technique are chosen. The main purpose of this writing is to introduce reader withvarious anatomy of the frontal sinus, the most frequent reasons leading to need of the sinus reconstruction and the surgical treatment options.
