ANNA KOMAR was born in Baranavichy, Belarus, in 1989; lives in Minsk. Linguist by education, poet and translator by calling. Author of the collection of poems Fear of Heights (2016, Minsk) which was shortlisted for several literary awards in Belarus and received the Marziya Zakiryanova Award for the best work by a female writer in 2017. Translator of Chrales Bukowski poetry and British and American women's poetry into Belarusian.
