When asked to describe herself in one sentence, Nikki Hanna said, "I'm a metropolitan gal who never quite reached the level of sophistication and refinement that label implies." The contradictions reflected in this description are the basis of her humorous prose. She has a B.S. Degree in Business Education and Journalism and an M.B.A. from The University of Tulsa. A retired C.P.A. and Toastmaster, Hanna has years of management experience as an executive for one of the country's largest companies. She served as a consultant on national industry task forces, as a board member for corporations, and as an advisor on curriculum development and strategic planning for educational institutions and charity organizations. Now an author, humorist, and speaker, Hanna is dedicated to inspiring others and offers informative and entertaining programs based on her books. "Red Heels and Smokin'" and "Out of Iowa-Into Oklahoma" are memoirs that are captivating to women's groups. "Leadership Savvy" includes fresh and powerful strategies for aspiring leaders. "Capture Life" demonstrates how anyone can bestow the forever gift of legacy by sharing life stories. Her workshop "Beyond Aging Well" reveals how older people create legacy by how they construct their aging experience. In addition to numerous award-winning essays and short stories, Hanna has published books on Amazon/Kindle and is a recipient of Oklahoma Writers' Federation's Crème de la Crème Award. Hanna lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has three children who think she has become a bit of a pistol in her old age. They tell her, "Don't call me if you get thrown in jail." She has four grandchildren who think she is the toy fairy and that she is cosmically important. The two who live in California, Thing I and Thing II, believe she lives at the airport.
