What do you do when everything you've been taught about being happy doesn't work? Redefining Happiness is an opportunity to contemplate your definition of happiness based on your values and terms. It is a look back at the author's struggle with a lack of happiness and, because of hindsight, offers you ways to create happiness wherever you are on your journey. Most importantly, the book poses important questions for you to consider what happiness means to you and how you approach the concept of happiness altogether. This book offers a guide for you to experience a higher degree of freedom in defining your own happiness, based on the experience I had making the choice to become a participant in my own life. Perhaps the most important thing this book offers is the questions that it poses so that you too can become a more engaged participant in your own journey, more clearly define what a happy life looks like to you, and cultivate the willingness to create it in ways that feel right and authentic to you and the people most important to you.

Autorenporträt
Kelli von Heydekampf is a wife, mother, hypnotist, speaker, and most recently added the role of author to the list with her book Redefining Happiness. Her dedication to family is priority number one and she enjoys frequent visits from the three young adult daughters she has raised together with her husband of more than twenty-five years. Her home base continues to be Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Kelli has her private hypnosis and coaching practice. Hypnosis work is especially satisfying to Kelli for the variety of people, issues and solutions it allows her to explore and the amazing outcomes her clients achieve through this work. Knowing that we are limitless in what we can do, learn and achieve, Kelli is a passionate student who seeks opportunities that allow her to expand and grow, striving to say yes to life more often than no. Kelli values her autonomy, freedom, and creativity and has built her life around making those values a reality. She loves being outdoors, walking her German Shepard dogs, traveling (especially to Germany where she lived for thirteen years), seventies disco music, World Cup Soccer and performing improv theatre. Her life philosophy is that life is one big invitation and as we create our experiences through our thoughts, words and actions we learn that we are fully equipped to be present for it all.
