The purpose of this work is to determine the economic and financial feasibility of an investment project related to the reengineering of Hotel Uruguay in the city of Villa Carlos Paz, Province of Córdoba, Argentina. The project takes as a starting point the constant growth of tourism in the region. From this point of view, Hotel Uruguay, an emblematic hotel in the city, is taken and it is questioned why it was losing profitability to the point of closing in a short period of time. Different issues related to the hotel business were analyzed and reengineering was proposed. It was approached from a structural aspect, as an organization, covering technical, technological and functional aspects. Legal and environmental aspects, very important for the development of the project, were not left aside. Finally, economic and financial analyses were carried out to determine whether the project was profitable or not.
