Half a life and half a century. A lot of experiences, a lot of history in this short time. Growing up in the former eastern part of the city of Berlin and still "emigrated" before the fall of the Wall.Having built a new life and although often difficult and painful, always searching for ones self. Knowing from a young age that you are different and that, despite all your efforts, you never really fit in. Which leads you on a lonely life path of self-knowledge and ultimately to this intermediate goal of life's journey.If a picture is worth a thousand words - then a poem speaks volumes. So much that can be found in a single sentence, even in a single word. And it always amazes me how much emotion can be expressed through a poem, if you open your heart.
